On January 22-24, a PhD Induction and Training Event was held at University of Nottingham in the UK for the FRONTIErS Consortium.

Xiuzhe, a PhD student from Delft University of Technology, sheds light on his research into the cyclic response of offshore pile foundations. With a background in soil consolidation and spatial variability, Xiuzhe discusses his motivation for joining FRONTIErS DN, emphasising its high-quality training and collaborative philosophy.
